Hello, I am Paige. For the better part of the past decade I have been the proprietor of The Cheese Patch, located in the Village of Patchogue. The Cheese Patch has been a thriving Wine and Cheese Shop located at the “famous” 4 corners in the heart of a very progressive Village.
As a native Long Islander and growing up in the Town of Patchogue, a top priority for me over the years has been working closely with the Chamber of Commerce in many different collaborations as well as hosting special tasting and pairing events for local restaurants, non-profits, senior and residential communities and the Patchogue-Medford Library programs. I shared in the comradery and entrepreneurial spirit of fellow business owners in our local and surrounding communities and worked closely with everyone to keep doors open during the most recent public challenges.
As we celebrate the 10 year anniversary this December of The Cheese Patch, I am fulfilling yet another goal, a second shop! Now, here we are on the North Fork of Long Island, announcing the opening of The French Picnic, located in the Village of Cutchogue.
Having had the opportunity over the years to spend time on the North Fork of Long Island, meeting genuine people, absorbing the culture, the quiet, along with watching the growth and changes, I knew that this is where my heart would lead me and my next adventure would unfold, The French Picnic and the introduction of the perfectly paired picnic basket.
I personally invite you to open a basket filled with all kinds of goodies to enjoy alongside our wonderful selection of cheeses and boutique wines. We will even guide you to various picnic sites and wineries on the North Fork. When you visit, you will be offered alfresco dining, indoor café tables, an eclectic selection of local and imported wines as well as craft beer and occasional music. And of course, if you’re not looking to picnic, you are always welcome to pop in to grab a few of your favorite wedges of cheese and wine to go!
Sharing my many years of expertise curating the best cheeses from around the world and pairing them with the perfect wines is an experience I want to share with the wonderful people I meet every day.
